Once again, GNOME/Metacity has nothing over KDE/Kwin. Really lackluster compared to KDE 4's eye-candy bling.

I'm so glad I found this! I have an old laptop that I use, I gotten so used to having AWN in my work flow that it always felt naked without it. Great post.

I think it's great that Metacity focuses on high productivity compositing rather than "bling".
