uhh .. does he ever mention if I forgot to lock his doors ? ... that's usually the #1 reason one car in particular and not another get stolen in a parking lot...
As I ready this article, I had flashbacks of my precious, yet thoroughly abused 1984 Honda Accord being stolen from in front of my apartment 1997. The arriving police officer apparently never had the pleasure of being one of the many members of law enforcement to pull me over and warn me of my bad driving habits cause he wouldn't have given me the silly solutions as to the fate of my car.Officer: "It's probably on it's way to Mexico."Me: "Naw...I don't think so. I pretty much had to pray everyday for it to make it to my work that was only 2 miles away."Officer: "It's could be at a chop shop."Me: "If there's anything of value on that car, I want to know so I can rip it out and sell it!"Officer: "They may try to sell it to someone else."Me: "Not likely. I couldn't even finish my pitch to sell my car without the potential buyer collapsing from laughing so hard at my delusion that my car was worth anything over 50 bucks."I did get the car back with a drilled drivers side lock, cracked ignition, and a blown electrical system, but it still lasted 4 more years before needing to be trashed. I loved my Honda!
