> use JHymn to take the copy protection off your > itunes musicSo, are you saying that distributing copy protected music is OK? Because if that's the case, I'll volate the living s**t out of the DCMA.My defense will be that I was just using the IntraWebs (P2P) as my personal file store.
"Huh, 751 more people that should have been using i2phex for filesharing..."does it really matter? they are suing ppl without computers for crying out loud.. or, what's worse, ppl that can't fight back ($$$)
*shakes head in disgust*. when will this madness end....my god, something needs to be done about these lunatics and their ridiculous lawsuits. "hey bill, who are we going to sue today?""i dunno....wait, ive got it! today lets tear the third page out of every phone book in the US and we'll sue the 10th person on each page!! yesssssss!"...
The more they [RIAA] tighten their grip, the more consumers will slip through their fingers...To paraphrase a certain Princess Organa.I don't buy audio CDs anymore. And I have 300 in my collection, but with their pricing schemes, it just doesn't make sense to me to pay more for an audio CD than a motion picture on a DVD. No matter what they say, the album did not cost $150 million to make, unlike the motion picture DVD retailing for $9.99. And as such, they can pound sand.I do buy individual songs through the iTunes Store though, since I like their distribution model and wish them more clout to counter the greed-meisters of the RIAA. I look forward to the day of $0.25 song downloads once the music labels are owned by the likes of Apple, Google, and Yahoo...and the RIAA no longer exists.
^^ And why do you believe that binary code is free for all? That's just like saying anything represented in sound waves, electrons, photons (such as television)is free for all...

Actually, the artist gets almost nothing because he pays all the production costs out of his share.

Stop buying CDs. Go and see you favorite band live! All or almost all money goes to artists packets.! Buy their t-shirts.
