I think it's the same thing that Digg is doing. Have you noticed RP stories that have thousands of diggs aren't making it to the front page lately? RP is so popular right now that if they didn't throttle these stories, Digg would be a Ron Paul site and not a social news site. I support Ron Paul, but I don't wanna ONLY see RP stories on the front page.

Why would meetup do this? They are making a s**tLOAD of money from Ron Paul supporters. Why would they want to stifle that income?
