xbox live is the bnet of the 21st century.and just because bnet still exists doesn't mean anything.you let anyone and everyone join your gaming network and you will not want to talk to their retarded asses.because half the time they can't even PLAY THE GAME so how can you expect them to carry any conversation?it's like walking into a Walmart in Florida, you just wish you hadn't, but you were there for the cheap t's so you get in and get out.I've known this since 1998, why is the rest of the world just now waking up?
on CS i type otu the positions of enemies and request backup, if you're so high and mighty you don't need to back up your team I think you should GTFO of CS
75% of the time, I get some 12 year old who is screaming or talking about things he probably shouldn't be, or a 16-19 year old who is talking like a 12 year old. I used to argue back with these children in Halo by telling them that they had terrible parents (Halo 2 is Rated M for mature and they shouldn't be playing until they are 17). I was joking with them just to irritate them of course. But I digress, I agree it's VERY difficult to find someone who acts like a mature human being. I only use my headset when I'm playing games on XBL like Catan that almost require it, or when I'm playing with friends (then I might degrade the 12 year olds) ;)
I boot people who don't talk when hosting Gears of War games. It's hard to win when someone is running around doing whatever the hell they want. They can only stay if they are 3 times better than everyone else to make up for being silent. As for annoying people online: join another room or find reasonable people to play with. I don't play games with anyone not on my friend list anymore. I let my Xbox1 XBL subscription die because of all the asshats. But seriously, with the mute button available, what's the problem? If you want to be mute while playing something like Catan, fine. But if there is a silent guy during a Gears game and doing whatever he wants, he's likely getting booted. Or at least, when I need to make room for a friend, the silent one is the first one getting booted. Plus, it's no problem having people that are learning playing, but if they are silent too as well as sucking, that's an instaboot.
I love xbox live but its very unfortunate that it is filled with trash talking, immature, whiny, bitchy little kids. I am willing to bet that more of the mature users would talk if these immature f**ks could be filtered out before they got on xbox live. The "thugz" are the worst.

it's not a few, it's a majority. There's a "few" people worth talking to.
