buytaert.net — The battle to create and choose a new default theme for Drupal 5.0 has come to an end, with a collaboration by Stefan Nagtegaal and Steven Wittens claiming the prize. The Garland theme, named after the actress, features a color picker that allows you to completely change the color scheme of the theme. Demo site: http://tinyurl.com/y4to2k

They've had one of these over on sheezyArt for quite some time now.Over there customisation was always a big thing, and each new version brought about a little more that you could do.The sheezyArt colour picker is done in Flash though.

Wow. Congrats! Great job! Can't wait for Drupal 5.0. Three of my sites are running on Drupal. :)

I, Garland, will knock you all down.

Oh my god, this is the best thing ever. My biggest problem with starting a site has been trying to get Drupal skinned (I can get the code and content going. Just not good at CSS. >.

Wow. That actually makes me want to install Drupal. I used to fear having to look at the default theme after a new installation of Drupal.

Sweet, can't wait to update my site. The color picker is awesome.. and the options are much cleaner. I just hope they let users change that retarded 'Syndicate' or any other title without too much hacking here and there.

Of course, just go to localization and replace it with whatever you want... You can do that with every text output.

Yep Drupal is by far the best looking bad hack ever.
