I dunno. If they're not recompiling the code, then they shouldn't really be statically linking those binaries, you know?It just still seems suspicious, is all. They're using the code in a new binary... the spirit of GPL says you should GPL any such code that does this. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The KMPlayer developer is literally saying "trust me, I'm not violating GPL".
Nowadays I install MPC via the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (from <a class="user" href="http://www.codecguide.com/).">http://www.codecguide.com/).</a>MPC is great, having MPC installed with pretty much every codec you're going to need is even more-betterer! (!).My only beef with KLMCP and MPC is that after it's installed on a 'doze box, I have to run up MPC and tell it to be the default player for everything. Whilst I understand that an equal number of people would be upset if it *did* default itself for everything, an option during the install would be nice.
As mentioned above, a *highly* effective solution to playing all types of video is MPC + CCCP. Forget about installing dozens of individual codecs or bloated packs that can't be uninstalled!
thanks for pointing out the KMplayer stuff..I 'm a big fan od Sasami2k player!for those Sasami2k fans out there.. the player with loads of advance plugin is now revive!
