Isn't this article being in PC Magazine (A Mac is not a PC), kind of like, oh I don't know, a Playstation Magazine promoting an Xbox 360?

Dvorak is hooked on his iMac...huahuha!

It sounds to me like he is saying, I don't want to deal with idiots who can't run a real computer, so I tell them to buy a Mac. Though I will use this Mac in my office setting, since everyone else here does, my real computer at home will remain a PC. That's what I took from the article.

Summary: If you are a complete idiot buy a Mac. If you can actually believe that 1000 people did not send you a personal greeting card today containing an attachment called virus.exe and restrain yourself from opening it, then you may be ok buying a PC. Note I'm not saying you are an idiot if you buy a Mac, just that if you already are an idiot then you should buy one, there is a difference, if you can't understand this, then you should be buying a Mac.

A much of a hack as ever.

What the hell does using an ipod have to do with the Mac vs. Winodws issue? An ipod is a media player, not a PC.

oh yeah, he was WAY wrong about the prediction that when apple went to intel they were going to run windows on the box native. yeah, that will never happen (it's the main freaking reason I'm writing this from a Macbook right now... boot camp and when leopard ships with boot camp built in, is going to be a huge day in the life of Apple. They take their fantastic hardware and finally put it up against the other big players in the channel.)

What kind of reasoning is that? That's like saying that there's eventually going to be a violent crime in a gated community, so you'll live in the ghetto instead. Your argument will hold water once there's, say, 100,000 or more exploits or malware for OSX.

I still don't like mac, and don't like Windows Vista either. Still using XP, and I think its the best choice currently.
