hosted.ap.org — McDonalds somehow missed that it's fries contain 1/3 more trans fats than once measured. Consumer groups and the government (US) have been pushing fast food restaurants to size up their true nutritional content and place it on packaging. This means a large fries contains 30 grams (1 full shot glass) of artery blocking goodness.

Anyone who eats that crap gets what they deserve.

For a healthy fast food alternative, the Chargrilled Chicken Garden Salad with Fat Free Honey Mustard Dressing from Chick-Fil-A is -very- low in fat. It's also the best salad I've ever had.

It's not like anyone forces you to eat there. If you don't like it, don't eat it.Luckily I live in Oz, so veggie oil fries for me! :-)And I agree with wyrder42, I doubt that any other burger place is any worse than McDs.

They are really not fries at all but recycled napkins fried in grease.

I do not think there is anything wrong with eating McDonalds about once or twice a month. It's when you EXCESSIVELY eat at McDonalds (ex: 3 times a day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) that it is unhealthy and disgusting. I do not care for McDonalds that much anyway. Personally, I am a fan of Burger King:-)

You do realize it takes the body 3 years to metabolize transfat out of the arterys? You do realize the effects of meat from hormone-injected cows is permanent? heh

It's hard to eat well when eating out, especially when you have dietary needs or want to watch your calorie intake. Often food items that seem healthy and are marketed that way are not. It's amazing how hard restaurant chains are fighting to hide their nutrition information. It's hard to eat well when eating out, especially when you have dietary needs or want to watch your calorie intake. Often food items that seem healthy and are marketed that way are not. For this reason, Wellsphere just launched a new service called Wellternatives that lets people find nutrition info for thousands of chain restaurants — right from their cell phone or on the web. It also makes recommendations for a healthier alternative to your favorite restaurant meals, hence the name.

This means a large fries contains 30 grams (1 full shot glass) of artery blocking goodness. (complete bollocks) Oh and your body promptly breaks it down and kicks it out. Fools

Yeah, like that would ever happen! Working in the health care field I have yet to see a lot of vegans enter the ER with a cardiac arrest.

I just wrote a blog this week on portion control. Guess which popular clown is included in that one!
