As a fair individual, and Obama supporter it needs to be recognized that both Obama and McCain have a large absent voting record lately, running for president and all. It's not surprising McCain didn't show up, and we know where he stands on FISA. What is devastating is that Obama thought it wise to take the time to actually make it to this vote, and then make the wrong choice.To use your baseball analogy - It's like not showing up to a single game till you make it to the world series. You play your first game of the season, in the game that matters most, and strike out every single time you are up to bat. Is that somehow better than simply not showing up the entire season? I wouldn't think so.
