huffingtonpost.com — In a statement to The Huffington Post, he did not apologize for or distance himself from the sermon, saying simply that he had long grappled with how God "who controls what happens here on earth" could allow the Holocaust.

He is not Obama's pastor, that is true, but McCain actively sought his endorsement, and recently McCain refused to reject his endorsement. McCain is having it both ways. And did McCain say, about Rev. Wright, hey, leave the man alone. It's Obama's pastor, not his political advisor? No. Typically wussie Republicrats. You sling mud when it's helpful, but then cry like little babies when it goes against you. Grow up and toughen up, crybabies. Infants. .Wahahwaaah.

You need to read more news...

Yeah, this whole thing has been just... weird. In Christian circles Hagee is widely known for his pro-Israel, pro-Jew stance on every conceivable issue. Even among his fellow Evangelicals his feelings in this direction are considered excessive. The way this situation is being reported seems suspicious, to say the least, but I'll have to check into it further.

@WilliamDavis: I agree that it doesn't make him "McCain's pastor." Poor phrasing. But unlike Obama, who condemend Wrights remarks and quickly cut ties with him at the outset, McCain took a wait and see attitude. He didn't want to lose the bigoted racist's endorsement. He only cut ties when it became painfully obvious that the scandal was not going away, but was in fact, growing. And there is a world of difference between pandering to a crowd and soliciting the endorsement of a man who thinks God send Hitler after the Jews and that the Catholic Church is "the Great Whore."

It is amazing how blinded some people are by their desire to love Obama and hate everyone else....These are totally different situations.. as has been stated probably 50 times already in this post. Wright was Obama's pastor, and Obama went to the church for 20 years. Regardless of what you think, you can see how Wright and Obama are more connected than Hagee and McCain... and in case you cannot, McCain never went to Hagee's church.. he just tried to get a bunch of pastors to back him to collect the votes. He probably had no idea about Hagee's comments until you did.

I was being facetious. Some of you diggers are such sensitive hippies. Go ahead and digg me down. The truth hurts.By the way? I have a PhD? I had a pretty good education. Nice try.

I know this story is bulls**t and I know that diggers can see right through it. But, in my opinion, there are plenty of morons out there who would bit at the garbage the Republicans have thrown at the media to win elections.I don't care if he dropped his endorsement and renounced his ties with this pastor. Screw McCain, the Republicans and those douchebags who put us in the situation our country is in now with their lies and power mongering ways.I'll digg up any story that keeps those people away from the White House.
