It's well worth listening to this episode of Fresh Air from a month ago to hear more detail about this (and in general, if you don't regularly listen to Fresh Air on NPR, you need to turn in your arugula and latte credentials immediately and move to West Virginia). I was kind of annoyed that Olbermann used the word "Breaking" to describe this story, but I'm glad he's putting it out there

No, this is what shapes McCain's future policies;Reading that "Oil prices drop below $127 a barrel (<a class="user" href="http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5i5TtajgUpSm7KY5jf-lCJGHBB-tAD90UI1GO1)">http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5i5TtajgUpSm7KY5 ...</a> as it's reported that "Bush 'plans Iran air strike by August. (<a class="user" href="http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/JE28Ak01.html)">http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/JE28Ak01. ...</a>And to soften our heads enough--on Cue, we get; <a class="user" href="http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/FedCrimes/story?id=4941724">http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/FedCrimes/story?id=49 ...</a>The lobbyists who are now "advisors" on his staff, only other countries, corporations, and the like pay their salary, is just sponsorship in the 21st century. The real problem is the economic paradigm that our leaders have adopted. Resource wars are what they think will preserve our way of life, rather than innovating out of the problem. So, our economy is based upon what we can hold or destroy -- not on what we can produce. We are worth $9 Trillion in debt, because we can cause that much damage. Hence, the new economy of eternal war. I'm not really liking that path at all. I'd rather let everyone keep their own stuff and depend on American know-how. Call me old fashioned or progressive -- but I kind of believed the lie of American's as exceptional, as heros, as people who do the right thing. And I'd rather ride a bike to work with my neighbors, than harm another Iraqi kid. Whether it was propaganda or not -- I want to be the American who people look up to.So, no thanks -- I'm not going to buy the McCain brand dog food no matter how well packaged. In the end, it is still dog food.

Nice one. And with the ethics laws what they are nowadays, I think you need to rethink that one.

Uhm...how is Obama going to keep track of who this country's enemies are if he can't remember a simple story told to him by a family member. Hrm...was it South Korea or North Korea who had nuclear weapons!?!? And if the so-called 'change' is higher taxes and increased government dependency, then I don't want change...

I hope that the stupid half of America that voted for Bush twice reads about this. especially the ones that lost their homes.
