huffingtonpost.com— The Senator declared. "I am prepared. I am prepared. I need no on-the-job training. I wasn't a mayor for a short period of time. I wasn't a governor for a short period of time."

Keep telling yourselves this and keep screaming it to anyone that will listen. I'll sit back and watch the poll numbers rise for McCain as a result of that. Palin may only have executive leadership of a state with fewer people than the south side of Chicago, but at least it's leadership. Obama, on the other hand, has 0 leadership experience. He has, however, a stellar voting record as a junior senator. Let's see, he's missed nearly half (45.5%) of all his votes, he's voted party line for over 90% of his votes, and he hasn't actually voted on anything since July. Awesome record so far. Some of his sponsored bills include a resolution to congratulate the Chicago White Sox for winning the 2005 World Series and a resolution to designate July 13 as "National Summer Learning Day."He has good ideas though, I admit, but my point is, trying to bash Palin on the experience issue is silly, as the claim can easily be made that Obama has less. You guys really should come up with something new, as I'm sure you will. If you want Obama to win, though, you should try to not sound like a rabid iditot when you do it. The majority of the country does not agree with your far-left ideology.
"In Illinois, a vote of "present" is an actual vote."First, I was referring to his senate record, not his Illinois state record. And while your explanation of the system in Illinois is enlightening, your interpretation of how politicians use the “not present” vote is incorrect. Politicians use that clever little instrument as a means of not standing for anything. They can say they’re for it or against it, whichever they choose. You can’t nail them down on something because they simply “didn’t vote.” I’m sure John McCain is just as guilty of doing this as Obama or Biden. They’re all three senators, after all. As a governor (and even mayor) you can’t “not vote” your way out of problems. You have to make a decision one way or the other, which is why I keep saying that trying to attack Palin on her real executive leadership experience, however little that may be, is a mistake for Democrats because their candidate for President has 0 executive leadership experience. “Obama has seemed to be interested in public service throughout much of his life..."I think involvement in one’s community is definitely an honorable thing to do, but it again doesn’t equate to executive branch leadership ability and shouldn’t be put down on a resume as such. That’s like applying for a job and putting down what classes you took in high school. No one cares that you took calculus 1 and it doesn’t reflect on your ability to do the job. You put down on your resume what you actually did, such as cut taxes or pillaged villages, etc. But let’s not forget that Obama was more of a riot organizer instead of a community organizer in his earlier days. He was involved with ACORN, which is currently under numerous criminal investigations. He wasn’t exactly leading soup kitchen lines into the wee hours of the morning making sure the homeless and elderly had something to eat. “As an obvious example, if it weren't for liberals, women and minorities wouldn't have gotten the vote when they did. There's a difference between liberalism and socialism - just as there's a difference between conservatism and libertarianism.”Republicans are historically responsible for granting these freedoms. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, not a liberal. In fact, the Republican party was founded in 1856 and one of its main tenants was the abolition of slavery. Civil Rights were granted by republicans, not liberals. The Democrats were the ardent supporters of the Ku Klux Klan and Jim Crow laws, not Republicans. In fact, the father of one of the most esteemed liberal, Al Gore, actually voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Women’s suffrage, you guessed it, was supported by Republicans, not Democrats. The 19th Amendment was pioneered by a Republican, but was voted down four times by a Democrat controlled Congress. My point is, Republicans don’t get the credit they deserve and are incorrectly labeled as racist or bigots. Liberalism is a defunct ideology, in my opinion, and is simply Socialism rebranded. If you truly support freedom, you should at least identify with the correct political party, because Democrats have been no champions of civil rights or freedom historically. But to be honest, Republicans today have moved away from their conservative roots of small government more personal freedom and responsibility, so who knows…. I agree with you on pretty much everything else. I think Obama seems like a very decent man with a great family. McCain comes across as an ass to me. I would love to see our tax structure completely done away with and replaced with the Fair Tax. I’m pro Capitalism, but agree with you that it needs governmental checks in place to prevent excess and abuse. I wish a candidate or party would come along that I could vote for proudly, but until that happens, it’s the lesser-of-two-evils Republican vote for me. To each his own though, I suppose.
Well I agree but I think it goes both ways. Experience wasn't a big deal for the dems about a month ago before Palin like it is now so I see this as a wash. But have you ever wondered why both parties lack consistency. It's because there's no core substance to their beliefs, it's just beliefs on issues.. I couldn't tell you what the neocons are for. War maybe, against abortion and gay rights, but what standard is made to come about those beliefs. My way is right? But then the left is the same. They are against the Iraq war, but they are all for war with Dufar, and they are against bush spending money on this dumb ass war and helping the oil companies but they have no problem spending money on some pretty dumb ass things and helping big pharma with socialized health care.. But whats the core belief? Bigger government is good as long as they don't help the oil companies?
If she did go to 5 colleges in 6 years it could be she was unable to handle the course load...which says something about her stability as a person? Becoming mayor of a small city or town requires little experience and no education. Palin, like most unqualified mayors and such, had to hire an administrator to do her job. In her Governorship she hired a lobbyist. McCain has money, power and prestige. These are the reasons the American public might consider electing him into the White House. It doesn't matter that he can't read his speeches, can't remember how many houses he owns and has a violent temper...he's married to a very rich and powerful woman, and has hired an "army" of lobbyist to get him elected.Take heed, think carefully before you vote...your country's future and the world's stability depends on it!
Palin's stump speech is the same BS over & over, 3 year olds could have it memorized by now. Why is she scared of the press, maybe it will be difficult to keep her lies straight, and/or justify them. She may also get another political question she has no clue about but tries to fake it. And then their is her fanatic holy war beliefs - she will need to explain, isn't it the extremist we are at war with, well she's got something in common with them. Pit bulls are usually dangerous, even the bitches with lipstick, they seem to be the most vicious. Fanatics are scary no matter how there packaged!Obama 08

I would LOL at your last line, if I wasn't so scared that she really could end up as VP or worse.
