thinkprogress.org — When forced to confront the unpopularity of his Iraq position, McCain told GQ, “I think Americans don’t pay close attention.” He certainly must have to think that in order to publicly claim he knows what’s best for the security of this nation given the record he has.

McCain is on a mission from AIPAC.His job is to use the U.S. to make the Middle East safe for Israel. So far, this mission has failed. It has cost 3000 dead, and tens of thousands maimed for the rest of their lives. It has cost half a TRILLION dollars, and will put your children into tax slavery.Of course we don't know what's best for us or we would have ridden the neocons out of town on a rail by now.AIPAC is, by the way, a nest of Israeli spies. No wonder he smiles that way.Evil. Pure evil.

You know, politicians since 9/11 have said things like McCain has said about how to deal with security. One big problem: Apparently they did not have a clue before 9/11 on how to prevent tragedy from occurring, despite many warnings from many countries before 9/11, while at the same time ignoring evidence collected by our own intelligence agencies and blocking further investigations into this substantial information. This would include members of Congress who are part of intelligence committees. McCain is talking BS, this country is plenty secure, as it was before 9/11. But when those who are REAL terrorists are allowed to roam freely around the country and having truly good evidence about what these terrorists were planning and didn't apprehend them, then people like McCain don't have any credibility. I never hear them say about how they will defend our civil liberties, because the trade-off will be civil liberties for security.
