huffingtonpost.com — While speaking today in New Mexico, McCain asked the crowd "who is Barack Obama?" Immediately you hear someone yell "terrorist." McCain pauses, the audience laughs, and McCain continues on, not acknowledging, not chastising, not correcting.

By not acknowledging or condemning this outburst, he was condoning it.And, besides, "All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing." -- Edmund Burke

Is there a true Patriotic American voter--- and especially a Jewish American voter---who was not horrified by Sara Palin being introduced at a Florida rally by a police officer in UNIFORM spitting out the name of Barrack Hussein Obama with sneering disdain, and inciting roars of approval from the crowd ? Moreover, can any American sanction Sara Palin subsequently whipping the crowd into a frenzy by ... knowingly …repeating false accusations about Obama's ties to "terrorists" and misquoting him on our troops actions in Afghanistan. The audience “got the message: responding that Obama is a "terrorist". Later McCain used similar rhetoric which incited someone in the audience t shout ...."kill him" ( meaning Obama). Neither Palin nor McCain stopped their speeches to renounce, discourage or disavow such undemocratic and offensive statements. I have always been reluctant to throw out the term "fascist" or make facile comparisons of a certain politicians' behavior to that of the Nazis, but Palin's and McCain's deplorable strategy and attacks make it difficult... and dangerous... to avoid contemplating such comparisons. The police official (Sheriff?) who appeared in UNIFORM in Florida should be fired. He made it clear that he can not be trusted to ensure equal protection under the law to all citizens. McCain and Palin should be roundly chastised by the media, by their fellow Republicans, and by the voters of all political persuasions who value our democratic traditions and the US Constitution. We need to remember that the Austrians "voted" for Hitler in overwhelming numbers, and many Germans were complicit in the Nazi atrocities by their silence, acquiescence and fear of that evil regime ! In the mean time, the media , by and large, continue to present the McCain/Palin atrocities as the "equivalent " of Obama's reminding people about McCain's actual, documented complicit and unethical behavior in the S&L crisis of the 80's. Hopefully, we will see the kind of indignant, repudiation of McCain/Palin they deserve. If not, God Help America!

McCain has lost all the respect and dignity he once had.

McCain's new strategy is to have one of his supporters assassinate Obama. How else can his ruthless, dishonorable attacks be explained? What ever honor he displayed during his years of service in the military and in Congress is now erased.

What is McCain's middle name? Could you answer that off the top of your head? Or did you have to look it up. No one refers to McCain as John *blank* McCain (the third). Resorting to what basically amounts to TEASING (like in the playground at recess in elementary school) Barrack Obama on his middle name is ridiculous. Did you have any say in what YOUR middle name is? Probably not. A middle name shouldn't have a bearing on how you think of someone, especially when there are so many more facets to consider in this instance!

This goes beyond any possible degree of decency, and is seriously frightening. Palin is even more dangerous than one could possibly have expected. She deserves to be unceremoniously dumped - in a bi-partisan way - if there is any honour in the GOP???
