Means themselves are ends. That actually sums up my GRE essay in 4 words :)But the fact that so many people disagree on what the "meaning of life" is indicates that there is no objective "meaning of life". It's a personal thing.

Then you miss the point. Wasting what time? Time that could be spent on that ever-moving, far off goal? The point is to live life one step at a time and enjoy it. If digg is some part of how you accomplish this then so be it.

Alan Watts had an extraordinary ability to clearly explain some of the most abstract concepts in religion and philosophy.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_WattsGo here for more Alan Watts media.http://funkdafunk.com/AlanWatts.html

philosophy on digg? GOOD

definitely GOOD! i have just fallen in love with alan's words over the last couple months. i'm really into trying to find a correlation between philosophy/meditation and the looming technological revolution that many are calling the singularity. i think we will have to become far more spiritual and thoughtful people if we are going to create a dynamic change for our species. i'm writing more about this when i can and have posted some good related videos on my blog: pb-zen.blogspot.com. off to meditate now.

Somebody above commented to the effect of: "the problem is that we are all the 'they' "I thought that was very insightful, and I agree, but with a qualification. Some people are more the "they" than others. This guy, for instance, is pure "they".
