maxxuss.theblog.cc — Maxxuss, the OSx86 hacking god, has just released his patching solution for 10.4.5. He also has announced he's working on fixing the iTunes issue with AMD CPUs, getting DVD playback/ATI SSE2 working in 10.4.5, and rereleasing the Maxxuss Tuning Package.

Caldaean: Not really. 10.4.5 has been out for a week give or take a few days and he already got it. So when they release an entirely new version it shouldn't take him long, especially since he seems to know what he is doing.

Apple should just hire this guy... That way we won't have to loose anything.

I got 10.4.4 working on my shuttle over the weekend. But it's not really functional for me. The onboard ethernet (Marvell Yukon) doesn't work and neither did 3 PCI NICs either. I tried all the wikis, and editing Info.plists, but nothing worked. Same for my Geforce 6800GT. So until those things get working in osx86, it's not much good for me.I just want a fast Mac, but can't afford one. I use a OC'd Mini for my main computer now, but would really like to have it on my shuttle. Maybe the new Mini tomorrow will be what I need, have to wait and see, but it'll probably just be a Core Solo, still have a weak GPU, and a notebook HD.Now I love how small and cheap the Mini is, but couldn't they JUST have made it a little bigger to fit in a desktop size drive? And if I may go so far...a AGP or PCI-E slot for graphics? Sure you'd have to use low-profile cards, but at least it'd have the possibility of upgrade.Oh well, I digress.

I love macs too! But paying $3000 for a machine is price fixing! I don't want to hinder apple, but there are some cheep powerbooklooking notebooks out there, that i could throw os x on there andbe very happy!
