That's not a theory jesusfreak, that's an hypothesis. See the difference is that a theory has evidence to support it, while an hypothesis is nothing more than a postulation that has needs to be supported by evidence before it can become a theory. You fail to understand science and logic. If you want to develop a theory, you need to "prove" (I put it in quotes because proof is a mathematical term and not a scientific one, science does not actually attempt to prove anything) your theory to be true by supporting it with evidence. Your standpoint is actually a logical fallacy, called "Argument from Ignorance"<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_ignorance" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_ignoran ...</a>It's up to you to support your case to be true, not for others to destroy it to be false.

its perfect mathematical randomness.

"And i guess i should also say that i do believe in God, so i'm somwhat skeptical when someone comes out and says that things just somehow happened, that everything occured by some unseen magic. Just a view, like everybody else. "There is no reason you can't believe in God and Evolution. And they don't say it occurs by some "unseen" magic. The idea is that mutations occur and eventually change the genetic code of a species, creating a new species. How these mutations occur varies greatly.

Ok, name one. And not one of the frauds that glued bones together to manufacture a 'discovery.' A real serious scientist.

If one is inclined to, anything explained by "random chance" could be attributed to external intervention, but in lieu of evidence it is not the role of science to go there. On a basic level evolution and God are not mutually exclusive concepts, no matter how much people try to make them so.

RogueGenius, you didn't say "there has never been a single DISCOVERY that contradicted evolution, or confirmed any other hypothesis." You said "Every single time a evolutionary biologist predicts something, it either shows up in nature or in the fossil record. ... No matter how ridiculous something sounds, if they predict it, it always exists."Also, "All the people in the various debates were discussing THEORY. We are working with fact here." What the hell does that mean? I'm not sure you know what 'fact' and 'theory' mean in a scientific context, and I don't understand what you mean by this regardless. When scientists talk about 'facts' they are talking about pieces of observational data. When they talk about 'theories' they are talking about explanations for a set of data. That's why evolutionary theory is still called evolutionary theory, even though it's extremely well-confirmed.And there continue to be debates and new discoveries that dramatically change how we picture evolution (such as the burgeoning field of epigenetics), so, again, I don't know what you mean by this.

Oh yeah, that's right. Sorry, losing interest in this, but I'm trying to be polite. That statement is true as well, they have never made a prediction that didn't turn up eventually. I'm thinking specifically the reptile/mammal transitions that were so difficult to believe in, but there they are. Also the feather bearing reptiles.

There are too many fundamentalist Christians in the US -- they take their interpretation of parts of the bible literally, and have decided that the bible has decreed that everything was created by their god.
