Materazzi told Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday that it was a remark he made about Zidane's sister that provoked the French captain's moment of madness.

Materazzi is one of the dirtiest players in the game...constantly kicking other players in the head/face/gut/balls and trying to make them look like accidents. Materazzi can be a dirty player but he's also a skilled player. Anyone who thinks he's just a thug hasn't followed his career. The insult wasn't that bad and Zidane overreacted.

what can I say... I'm sicilian and here when someone insult you, you answer "a to soru!" which means "to your sister" and usually it ends up laughing. so i don't understand where the problem is! don't come here and tell that Marco insulted and provoked Zidane, because every soccer player say something nasty during a match (who doesn't must be a saint!!!) and it is the same damn thing for the jersey... everyone pull the one of the other during the game and i'm telling you i've never seen one react with an head butt!sorry for any mistakesGo MARCO you ROCK!!!!

it was wrong of materazzi to say that to zidane but it was equaly wrong for zidane to headbutt materazzi. ppl still rnt entirly sure about wat marco said.. if u think zidane was overeactin...maybe he wasnt..i meen he said dat marco said somtin bout his mum anywayz i still tink marco nd zidane r gr8 players
