bit-tech.net — This guy has taken a massive Lian Li PC70 case, added a vapour cooling box on the bottom and a custom watercooling housing on top. Sandwiched together with plexiglass, the end result is a spectacular (and incredibly tall) custom case. Sweet pictures and build log!

I just have to say I almost creamed my pants looking at this case mod. It's the Lamborghini Countach of computers, just completely ridiculous and over the top. I love all the chrome and the mirrored plexiglass. Bling!

Sorry, gotta mod you down. Don't feel like being lectured to in a case mod thread, and I just like the irony of it all!

you're SO right--i mean, that 12 page build log and custom wiring shows a total lack of skill and workmanship. And custom lighting? Totally ugly. You should give him some pointers on making a pimped out case--no lights, wires scattered--that would be awesome./sarcasmSeriously tho.... my hatred for glowing PCs has just taken a hit--thats one well done case.

I am very jealous of that. My computer is entirely unmodded.

That's pretty sweet, I once used a mini fridge for a case, didn't cool it at all just turned the thermostat all the way down and put everything on little stands to keep air all around them. It was a wine cooling fridge so it even had a clear window in the front, problem being that I had to A: drill through the side of it for the wires and B: insulate the hole again which made the whole thing pretty much impossible to reconfigure. It was cool for a few months though.

no kidding. a friend of mine had a massive full height tower pc case back in the days of 386's and 486's and it was easily larger than this. it had a like 7 or 8 full drive bays in it. when it was opened the interior was massive and had plenty of room for airflow. they got rid of it years later when motherboard profiles changed and they couldn't jam one in there (ATX became the new hotness). it was also getting to be a pain to find room for.of course his case didn't look anywhere as cool as this one though. it was just big and beige, like most of the cases of the time. the mini-tower is a recent innovation in case design...
