thenewspaper.com — Because photo enforcement devices will automatically mail out a ticket to any registered vehicle owner based solely on a photograph of a license plate, any driver could receive a ticket if someone else creates a duplicate of his license plate and drives quickly past a speed camera.

I think that any violation caught by these cameras should come with a fine that is a fraction of what the fine would be if you were caught by an actual policeman. That way, you could account for relative violations - like, if you're speeding but it's 3am and there are absolutely no other cars on the road, the cop could use discretion regarding what he cites you for. Also, any tickets from these cameras should never, ever, add points to your license - only small monetary penalties. If they are solely for generating revenue, then there is no reason to give points in addition.

Oh yes, they are hurting other people all for the greater good, and it has nothing to do with them just being assh**es. Makes perfect sense, if you're from a different reality.

Look if you went to RM, and you weren't in IB or taken all AP courses, then you might as well have never went there. There were two types of people at RM, the Smarties or the Smokers.

I would simply contest it as hear say. In this country you have the right to face your accuser. The moment the officer gets on the stand Objection hear say you were not present at the scene.I have never been caught by one of these (I don't tend to speed either) but I would never pay a "camera" ticket.Unless that picture showed my car my plate my face AND the entire intersection INCLUDING the light in color. They MAYBE I might accept it as valid but then again it would be childs play to "rig" the system to turn the light red for the 1/200th of a second the camera takes the image.I would need to see video and it would need to be some form of SECURE video where tampering can be detected.I will never accept a "ticket" from a camera alone.
