What better way to cheapen the submission that manages to eventually make it to the front page on it's own merit than to make a weak joke right at the start of the comments. People who try to get the first comment many times will make ANY joke, even if they don't have a good one. That's just sad, but no matter how weak the joke is it ends up with 100+ diggs.. It's stupid and you all know it.
