roughpatch.tv — "I’ve always been a diehard PC guy. And I swear, until recently, I’ve never touched a Mac in my life. But ever since this year’s MacWorld Expo in San Francisco, I’ve been feeling kind of funny inside. Different. To put it bluntly, I can’t stop thinking about getting my hands on a Mac. I have become…Mac-Curious."

Mac’s are for those Vegan artsy fartsy f**ks who go to COLLEGE. PC’s are for us steak eating alcoholics who talk about our computer like its the 1986 Firebird on bricks in the gravel driveway. “Soon I’m gonna have enough cash to put an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core in there” *takes a drink of my Natural Ice beer*

I guess a Mac would be a good "stranded on a desert island" (with AC power and high speed internet, of course) computer. Ya' got your Unix goodness, but with a not-crap GUI... you don't be playing games or running the bleeding edge apps, but it's a desert island for goodness sake!Today I've done significant stuff with Linux, Solaris, Windows, and my Mac. It's just a question of the right tool for the job. Linux/Solaris for servers, Mac for photo and video work, Windows for everything else.
