He's not talking about Vista, but microsoft's generic stance of releasing stuff before they should, and I'm sure that even with delaying Vista, it's gonna be unstable (comparatively to where it'll be in a few years of updates)
I have Dapper running right now, and I am very happy with it. The only issue I had was that the Broadcomm drivers which are included, and which deteced my card, didn't actually WORK with my card, but it was simple enough to blacklist them and go back to ndiswrapper.Oh, and it cracks me up how during the boot sequence, it just says "Dapper Drake" graffiti style, with a disclaimer that "this is not the final artwork!"OH, and to talk about boot speed, this thing FLYS over Breezy (and over my wife's XP install for that matter). VERY fast boot time.-olly
Yes, and shutting down showed the progress bar going backwards! Now it's just inverted...Anyway, the gnome splash will be gone in the final version. And I hope it won't ship with that fugly orange theme.
That is totally absurd. First of all, Vista delays have passed the two year mark. The only people who find that worth mentioning are members of the news media.Secondly, Linux users primarily "hate" Microsoft for the proprietary insecure OS' they put out. Personally, I don't have much of a problem with Windows, I just like Linux better.

I forgot to add....Since they will change the release number from 6.04 to 6.06, shouldn't it be now be rechristened the "Dapper Delay". ;-)

I've seen nothing about XGL being included with Dapper. What are the people above talking about?
