blogmaverick.com — Normally I back Mark's point of view but this time I just can't see where he's coming from. His claims that people will reject Internet TV because it's not a high enough resolution on their HDTV's is ludicrous and as long as major networks fail to tap into Youtube and other viral sites, people will strive to stream internet video to their TV!

Cuban is biased and off base. HD is just a spec. The Internet is a delivery method. HD quality Internet video exists. But the main point is that the content matters a lot more than the quality. Some of the net's most viral and funny content has been extremely poor quality.

People often don't "watch" TV, they listen. They are eating, nagging the kids, etc. Thus, HD does not really matter much. Sports seem to be the only place where it makes a real difference. People will not spend lots for HD outside of sports. Plus, actors are ugly in HD. HD ruins the Hollywood fantasies.

46,000 sentences later:"Which brings me to HDTV."Yeah, thank God, I thought I was going to fall into a coma before that happened.Too bad Mark Cuban wrote it; he's long-winded, illiterate, and misspelling-prone. He's sort of proof of concept of what happens when everyone starts worshipping your money-making abilities..."Well maybe he'll say something important today..."How will anybody know it, though, without a free-association-to-English translator?

HDTV is probably the future of tv for the short term , but man you'd have to be blind to not see that the Internet is the TV of the future.

I sure as hell dont want to watch a movie on my computer screen. In that regard, Cuban has a point, but hes wrong to think that the technology wont get to the point where you will be able to stream or download files capable to play on your big screen in High Def.

I prefer Internet video myself because of it's lean forward nature - on demand as opposed to televisions lead back force feed style.

He is not legit. I am his brother and he does not have a Digg account. This guy is too stupid to even be a mark pretending to be Mark. I would report him to digg but it is not a TOS violation to be an idiot.
