Put in jail for what? What risk do I pose to you if I am high? And legalizing weed does not mean driving high would be legal so don't even try with that. Ever been to the dentist and got painkillers? Ever taken medicine that recommends you don't operate heavy machinery after taking them? There's no tests for level of impairment with these, yet you can still get ticketed for impaired driving.
Tona, you dont know what you are talking about. You dont smoke the whole gram of anything, whether its from a bong, joint or bowl. It is impossible to consume 100% of it. There is burn off and left over smoke in the bong tube. I have been smoking weed for over 20 years and have yet to see someone consume 100% of their weed without any burn off. Either way, with all the studies linking smoking cigarettes and cancer, I highly doubt its relevant AT ALL how much cigarette smoke you THINK people end up consuming. The fact if it seems to be ENOUGH to cause people cancer.
I say legalize so we can start to get research on the POSITIVE effects it will have. Such as treating other health problems that we don't know about yet. Possibly major issues such as seizure's, or mental health issues, or some severe cases of autism. I think it will have a more positive effect than negative. Of course, this is in assumption of moderation....HA!

because the govt wants brain damaged unhealthy alcoholics rather than open minded healthy free thinking pot heads.

How else will we keep the current force of cops, judges, lawyers, prison guards and probation officers employed?

That seems a little unfair if it is for medical reasons and you're living there.
