We may as well blame the advertising business for making the ownership of an Xbox so compelling that people will resort to violence to get 'em. Either that or, you know, these are the kinds of people that would take advantage of a situation to steal anything that appears to have some value.Game systems are not loaves of bread, people. Nobody needs one of these.

It appears every Christmas there is that one item everyone wants that is in short supply. Why are surprised by this? What will it be next year?

I love this eBay auction, where the 360 is being showed off by a grandma and the seller claims it was kept with her to "ward of thieves".http://cgi.ebay.com/Microsoft-X-BOX-360-Core-Console-X-box-Xbox_W0QQitemZ8236753748QQcategoryZ62054QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
