Gotta love how you are all accepting the claim of ONE person who worked on the show, without questioning his motives, and also taking this from channel 4, an organization known for unethical "journalism." Man vs. Wild never claimed to be anything more than these revelations suggest, if they are even true, which is questionable due to the sources.You digg guys are such morons, taking one claim from one person as truth because you want a controversy.

The hardest part of survival is mental; the fact you are alone. If you have a camera drew you'll take stupid chance like Man vs. Wild. Climbing down a water fall? Never in the history of survival did any have to climb down a water fall to survive. Give me a break!

Bear was on Letterman, where he said that the camera crew follows him around until night, then they give him a handheld camera for the night time if anything interesting happens that he should document, the camera crew leaves and heads back to "Base", if you will, and he spends the night alone. Cut the guy some f**king slack, its a how-to show, and the guy is a f**king bad-ass. He drank his own piss.
