news.com.au — AN 81-year-old man has used an intricate suicide machine to remotely shoot himself, after downloading the plans from the internet. He spent hours searching the internet for a way to kill himself, downloaded what he needed and then built a complex machine that would remotely fire a gun.

I don't see how anyone, especially an elderly man, could put 4 bullets into their own head. After the first 2 bullets entered the cranium I'm pretty sure the soon to be deceased would involuntarily drop the gun. I'd use a machine just like this older guy did. I don't want to be a vegetable because I had poor aim or something like that!

So just for the record, I think it's terrible to bundle homage to the dead with insults to the living. It's like the act of "wrapping oneself in the flag", but with filial piety instead of patriotism. Pershindriver, I suspect you have nothing really to say, and I personally challenge you to begin.
