breitbart.com — Mark Giorgio figured a 50-foot fall was worth $20. Giorgio, 47, was counting his money Monday while walking across the U.S. 41 bridge over the Manatee River when a $20 bill blew out of his hand and flew over the rail.

What it really is it that people overestimate how high they are actually jumping from. It's really easy to look at a cliff and say "wow, that looks like it's 50 feet tall", but odds are when you actually measure it you'll find it's more like 20 feet - which really isn't too big a deal (though it can seem like it when you're in the air... or right before you jump)

ive jumped off a 70 foot cliff into water before at lake travisit was normally more like 50 foot (most years i had been there) but one year the water level was much lower than normalmy brother got pretty good welts on the underside of his arms cause he had them away from his body like a retard ;), the bottoms of my feet were a little red but for the most part i tried to go in very streamlined ;)this one fat drunk guy was doing cannon balls and it looked like he about belly flopped once..

"Is everyone here that rich that they wouldn't work for $20? Diving 50 feet into water isn't *that* big of a deal. "Yes, as a matter of fact I am. :)

It said he is homeless. So of course he's going to go after that. $20 is a lot for someone who can't afford to make house payments. And 50 feet isn't a lot for someone who has nothing else to lose...except his 20.
