deathby1000papercuts.blogspot.com — Snowstorms hit LA and BC's Frazer Valley and the worst blizzards kill at least 50 during China's worst snowstorms in memory. Al Gore is in Switzerland warning that "time is running out". Won't anyone do something?

This month so far, on Oahu, it has been unseasonably cold. I even have to use a sheet at night. When will global warming hurry up and get here so I can get back to the waves w/o a wetsuit??* ***people forget that global warming might not even be a bad thing at all (even if it was having a measurable effect on humanity, which it currently is not):http://www.stanford.edu/~moore/Boon_To_Man.html** though a local decrease in temperature might not be enough to disprove global warming (though it itself has not been proven), we are going to keep bringing stories like this up for every story there is about a wildfire, hurricane or hot day being due to the "catastrophic effects of global warming," since we are invariably to receive the blame.

Raising the average temperature of the planet by a few degrees doesn't just make everything a bit warmer. You might not even notice the difference in temperature. However, it does cause weather patterns to change.
