I wouldn't say like the 300 movie. Its more just the general grittiness of some movies, still looks great though.

/triviaSlight comment abuse but read an interview with the cinematographer on 300 and he was mostly using iPhoto with stills to show the post-production dudes how he wanted each scene to look.
