googleblog.blogspot.com — Custom Buttons are by far my favorite feature in the new Google Toolbar, which comes out of beta today. Clearly I?m not the only one, either -- we have over 600 buttons in the gallery, with new buttons being added every day.

Unfortunately you have to bookmark the search engine itself for those bookmark keyword searches. Hell, if anything, for 2.0 they should add support to have it go to a separate page if its clicked independently. I heard there was a javascript bookmarklet to do just that, but it was long and I can't find it again.

You don't have to be doing something dodgy to require the right to privacy.

I used to use the Google Toolbar for FF, but it causes the worst memory leak, my FF was using 200k+ with just 4 tabs open. I uninstaled it, and it went to a modest 60k. I just use the built in search bar, which is good enough for me. I'm sick of toolbars anyway.

I don't care too much about custom buttons, but I'm really missing the google bookmarks in the firefox toolbar.

what is the point of the toolbar if you are using firefox?

I want a *browser* that does this. A toolbar is basically a doggy door for viruses in my opinion.
