I suppose that's a matter of opinion. I've been making my own sinkers and jigs for years and have found it very cost effective (once you own the molds). And I have to say the kids our family get a real kick out of making their own sinkers - which is really what prompted us to start doing it again! Those are memories they'll have for a lifetime - and they enjoy that sense of satisfaction of having created something they can use!
