centernetworks.com — So let's get right to it. Earlier today, TechCrunch posted an exclusive about a new search engine founded by his conference partner, the Silicon Valley Superstar Jason Calacanis. I have spent the last 30 minutes using it and here are my findings.

It is not humanly possible for Jason to think of his own ideas.

Although I do not admire his ideas I do admire the fact that despite Jason is a busy man he still takes the time to email you back no matter what your position is on his ideas. I don't know him but I have received an email back within minutes!

Google is broken for sure, but crap like Mahalo is not the answer. Besides being plagued by SEOs, Google is flawed by design in that it hides more than it shows, and it makes it very easy for you to believe you found what you want on the first page while missing some really good content on page 100, which you'll never click to.The problem is that links are not a real indicator of quality. In fact, probably NOTHING is a good indicator of quality. What search engines need to do is just to allow US, the USERS, search in more intricate and profound ways and let us be more and more specific. For example, regexps and even more profound patterns, for example, sensing how close two words are together and increasing the weight if they're closer or decreasing the weight, allowing us, the users, to customize the weight of various features, allowing us to search on metadata and basically allowing us to search on ANYTHING whatsoever in the page, including invisible stuff and so on.Search engine should simply allow us to search in the most expressive and powerful way possible and then just get the hell out of our way!!!! Search engine should not be in business of ordering results!! As long as search engines order results (and so do our thinking for us... "Google knows what's best for ya...." AHH NO IT DOES NOT!), there will be SEO SCAMMERS.Search engines need to get out of the business of thinking for the user and instead focus on totally empowering the user with as technical and as profound a search as possible. And screw those who can't learn how to use it. The people who will learn how to use this kind of search engine will join an elite who knows how to find anything, while the Google users will be stupid sheep who are spoon-fed by Google what Google thinks is best.
