948 diggs for a post of 4 pictures of some guy's power connector that his cats disconnected earlier in the day and is inexplicably burned out? holy lametasticness.
One of our old adapters melted but i have never seen the plug burn up like that. There is probably nothing wrong with the product his was just a fluke.
my guess is that a windows laptop pissed on it, and then someone saw it happening and made a quick vinyl sticker out of the scene and put in in their trucks back window.
While I agree that so far this is a unique occurrence, Apple has had problems with batteries in the past (hence their Battery Replacement Program that is still at the bottom of the www.apple.com main page and links to: https://depot.info.apple.com/batteryexchange/index.html?lang=en ). So, there is every reason to suspect that it could have happened again. People keep mentioned the overheating, but if it was electrical (possible surge?), than it doesn't matter what temperature the notebook reaches. Either way, I'm sure Apple will investigate the nature of this burn-out and if it is grounds for a recall, I'm sure it will be voluntary.
Well, this just happened to my MBP, im on hold as usual waiting for some kind of specialist... yes I know this is a year old but its relevant... flame on.

I do owe my life to those cats. I think they cheated, but I'm still trying to figure out how they could hide four aces without thumbs.

If a cat has a bladder infection (which is pretty common) it'll piss where it stands whenever it needs to.

Well isn't having a magnet around a power supply or something conducting power... unsafe? Well anyway, cat pee is great.
