tuaw.com — No, you haven't missed a joint announcement from Apple and Griffin. However, you might have missed this post on Make which links to ZapWizard's Flickr set detailing how he put a Mac mini, with accompanying LCD screen and mouse/keyboard, into his car.

Why would you take the time to hack an iTrip into a Mac Mini. Why not hack a line level input into the head unit. Probably not as easy, but surely a much better quality solution. The iTrip is horrible for audio quality. Sure, it's a solution, but why bother.

This is nothing really new for Macs in car. We do it all the time here: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=71 The biggest hurdle for us is a front end interface.
