@delmonte: I'm not claiming to be an "elitist" as you say, I just watch my less experienced friends bitch about the UAC and why they have to click a button everytime they want to do something. As bigsteve said, the UAC is just a mechanism put in place to keep people from clicking through things, it has no real value as a security device.
