gizmodo.com — Though you might mistake Snow Leopard for plain old Leopard when you first boot it up, there's a lot of subtle stuff happening on screen and under the hood. Here's our guide to everything new in the latest Mac OS.

Remember, upgrading the lenovo does not destroy the warranty. Changing the HDDs are a snap. Also , Lenovos have never had the overheating problem MBP's suffer from... MBPs are overrated... The main reason you like them is because you have to justify your hefty investment..

Of course its a joke I didn't pay nearly three thousand dollars just to run Mozilla. I'm a photographer, and my PC's kept crashing. I wanted change. I was a PC tech for years and got tired Windows. And if I had to pay over $2K for a computer it had better do good things and most importantly get me to the internet. I'm just saying why is it that every week a new Snow Leopard guide is out? I upgraded along with most of the other mac users and I agree that there are enough guides. Its only been out two weeks if that long.

sadilak,I didn't pay for my MBP. I haven't paid for any laptop, ever, and I have had dozens over the years. I don't care how much they cost, I care about what i can get done with it. Upgrading a MBP does not void the warranty, not sure what Windows fan site you got that nugget from.roxgod666,you are completely stoned if you think you can dump any laptop into water and expect it to not fail within 100ms. if you actually watched that commercial you gave the link for, it says at the end "THE LENOVO IS NO WATER PROOF (YET)".also, regarding the CNET article you posted, the last paragraph says "THERE IS NO MEANINGFUL DIFFERENCE IN RELIABILITY" between all of the brands they listed. so there you have it, you struck out two more times, by not even reading the links you posted.

@Boetjekoe:I did. I'll admit that I didn't understand some of it, but I'm experienced enough to have understood a lot of the improvements they made in the OS.Even if you don't get all of it, you should read through it. There's a lot of cool stuff included in the article.

true, but then sites like Ars wouldn't be able to pay people for the good content, and you'd be left with gizmodo and youtube reviews to explain complex topics.

@ roxgod, RE: " .. Does the MBP have an accelerometer sensor built in so when your computer falls, it shuts down the HDD?"Wow, you don't know much about the hardware you always seem to be putting down, do you?Not only do the MacBooks (and the MBP) have accelerometers, software running under OS X has ACCESS to the accelerometer hardware :<a class="user" href="http://lifehacker.com/181203/gaming-with-the-macbooks-accelerometer" rel="nofollow">http://lifehacker.com/181203/gaming-with-the-macbo ...</a>" .. Of course the accelerometer, which senses which way and how fast the machine's been tipped, was built in to lock up the hard drive in time in case of droppage."Windows software doesn't even have any API's that they can call, since Windows runs on so many "generic" hardware it would be kind of useless to have that built into the Windows SDK.

A new windows OS is like the lottery. You just hope the next one going to be a winner! I stick with what works.
