You using the 700w? In that case, the beta test version of the missing sync is the only option right now It's not 100% complete though. I dno't think it does mail.app syncing yet that i have found.
After updating my MBP 17" (firmware and OS X 1.4.7 updates) I find that Firefox keeps crashing! It has never crashed before. I disabled all extentions thinking that might help, but it is still crashing on startup, or when I try to open more than two tabs... weird!
Unless I missed the bus, Preview sucks in that it does not load up entire folders so you can flip through images with the arrow keys. To do that, you'd have to select all the files and open them all in Preview (depositing them in the drawer).I use a freeware app called Magic Lantern for viewing my images because it's a lot less work to open one image and flip through them all. The underdeveloped Windows Picture and Fax (?!) Viewer even does this.Otherwise Preview is rock solid.
Ok, Im going to say this one more time for all those of you out there who complain about update issues. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS INSTALL OS UPDATES USING THE COMBO UPDATES!!!! We have somewhere in the range of 20 Macs in my family and 15 at work, and anytime something gets severely quirky it can usually be solved by downloading the latest COMBO update and installing it, followed by a repair permissions. After seeing this work so many times I only use the combo updates and have never had a problem with an OS update from Apple. So if your having problems please try that out and see if it fixes your problems.
sweet... i'm always afraid of updating OS X because it might break the Front Row hack. But I'm sure Andrew Escobar would release an update fairly quickly if the hack was broken.

SOLUTION - I found that the Intel Optimized Firefox Builds from Beatnik don't crash (and seem smoother all around) http://www.beatnikpad.com/archives/2006/06/04/firefox-1504
