Seriously, I don't understand how geeks (besides myself) have such a hard time understanding this. People want thin & light laptops, it's just the convenience and ability to take it anywhere. It's like asking why someone would want to buy an LCD screen over a superior CRT screen.. geeks at the time couldn't seem to understand the convenience factor. The macbook air is perfect for travelers and school use. I own a 17" HP laptop and it's a fantastic desktop replacement but it's somewhat difficult to bring to class.. I'd love to have the Air because it's form factor would be perfect for those needs. Yes, I'd rather own an Air than a spec-wise superior macbook. Also, the Japanese will be buying this laptop up like crazy because they're obsessed with thinness.
...and?Is full of contaminants? Or skunky? Or even bad tasting?I live in San Diego (Tierrasanta neighborhood), and I just put my tap water in a Brita pitcher (whose filter I change about once a year), and it tastes fantastic.
I like to call it the MacBook Toy. As a student, I got way more value from my MacBook than I'd get from a MBT, but once I get out of here and start makin the big bucks, I'd like to have a MacBook Toy to play around with, too!

The same reason I got the MacBook. It was cheaper, and it's smaller.
