5thirtyone.com — Despite applying the Shieldzone Standard kit to my MacBook palm rests and trackpad, the yellow discoloration is forming UNDERNEATH the film. Apple, the discoloration is not caused by oil or perspiration! This is a serious manufacturing defect which needs to be rectified! Where is the product recall?

@mattmanning - You're insane if you think that people complaining about their machine turning yellow after only two weeks of ownership is "whining". Would you have paid full price for your Powerbook if it was stained? I seriously doubt it.

I had a stain previously on a different area of the palm rest which I was able to remove (to some degree) using non-acetone. The discoloration in the imate is new. No prior discoloration.

Wow, sweating on your Macbook huh? I never thought my perspiration would endanger my Laptop... What a weird thing to happen. I've tried that megadry stuff for my sweating and I have hyperhidrosis which is the medical name for excessive sweating.
