newsweek.com — When something is thin enough to fit into an envelope, light enough to sit on your lap for a couple of hours without discomfort and so compact that it doesn't even bulge in an airline seat-back pocket, wouldn't it make sense that one could lose track of such a thing? Yes, it would make sense. Believe me. Because I can't find my MacBook Air.

I dugg you up for hilarity, but how the hell is that Apple's fault? Lol.

Its a marketing scheme. There is no way you're going to accidentally throw out a 3 lb laptop that is as wide and long as the Macbook (its just thinner). Its not paper thin either because if you actually seen one you'll see a lot of work used to exten the beveling curves, in fact hefty enough.

Actually, any flash memory player would probably work fine after sitting on it.

Wow. This guy is unbelievable. Photoshop is pretty much the same on a Windows PC and Mac these days. It's programs like, oh Final Cut Studio, that make Macs popular in modern media. While almost all Apple products are used status building geekasms, the reason Macs are so popular among techies and those in creative careers, is because the best software for audio and video editing is only available on Apple's OS X which is only available on Macs. My statistics may be a little off here now, but the last time I researched, 84% of the TV programs you watch and 98% of nationally-released major motion pictures are editing using Final Cut on Macs and funny thing, 88% of all the music available on iTunes was edited produced using ProTools, which is also only available on Macs. Yes. There are a lot of people who use Photoshop on Macs and Yes there are a lot of journalists who use Macs, but the majority of Mac users is actually not the Starbuck's hopping college techie or yuppy journalist. It's actually the guy who sits in a dark studio room the size of a football field with lit only by the glow of hundreds of Apple displays on the backlot of Universal Studios or in the Pixar Labs. I once found a web site that would tell you how many Macs were used during the making of certain movies. While a quick google search did not turn up that web site for me to use to enlighten you, I do remember one stat: 3,673 Macs were used to make the movie Transformers. Ha. DreamWorks could keep Apple in business alone. Can't wait to see how many Macs it takes to make Transformers 2.
