blog.ryeterrell.net— Ron Paul is singled out (quite obviously) by MSNBC with a miserable picture, but is winning their own poll anyway.

@wop4lifeThis is Ron Paul's actual position on stem cell research: <a class="user" href="http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul252.html">http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul252.html</a>"Congressional Republicans, eager to appease pro-life voters while still appearing suitably compassionate, supported a second bill that provides nearly $80 million for umbilical cord stem cell research. But it’s never compassionate to spend other people’s money for political benefit.""Federal funding of medical research guarantees the politicization of decisions about what types of research for what diseases will be funded. Scarce tax resources are allocated according to who has the most effective lobby, rather than on the basis of need or even likely success. Federal funding also causes researchers to neglect potential treatments and cures that do not qualify for federal funds. Medical advancements often result from radical ideas and approaches that are scoffed at initially by the establishment. When scientists become dependent on government funds, however, they quickly learn not to rock the boat and stick to accepted areas of inquiry. Federal funds thus distort the natural market for scientific research."He's got a very sensible position, and one i fully support.
Wodin please listen AND everybody else too. Ron Paul doesn't "resonate with the American people."? Hhmmm, well lets see about that.First, no matter what you want--within lawful reason of course-- Ron Paul WANTS you to have it. WHAT!! Yes, you see the Federal Gov. has no Constitutional authority to tell you, a private American...anything. If you're for abortion have your State decide NOT the F.G. If you want Marijuana have your State decide NOT the F.G. If you want Edu. Vouchers have your State decide NOT the F.G. If you want able bodied people living off the gov. then let your State decide NOT the F.G. If your area really, really, really, needs a new bridge or road then if you need it that bad your State should pay for it. Why should people in one area of the country have their treasury rifled to pay for, whatever, in another part of the country? People will rise OR fall to the expectations of them--The Pygmalion Effect. The F.G. treats U.S. as though we are in day care, which explains why there are so many foolish people. Really, no matter what your stripe or color Ron Paul is for YOU.
Ron Paul's stance on Grassroots campaigning: Spam Digg. How many comment chains do we have to read that follow this format:A: Ron Paul is great because ______A.1: OMG yeah... he is great.A.2: For Rizzle my nizzle!A.3: (burried comment about ron paul not being god)A.4: Ron Paul Rocks, ashame everybody else, who is evil i remind you, won't let him become a REAL contender.
For about 140 years The United States had the type of F.G. that the Constitution envisioned. So, obviously interstate commerce was functioning. We also fought several wars 1812, Mexican/American, Spanish/American, Civil, and W.W.I, so... even though each State was Sovereign we obviously knew how to work together as a Federal Nation when needed. The United States was growing by leaps and bounds WITHOUT any interference from D.C. It's only been about the last 80 years where the F.G. has NOT been acting in accordance with the Constitution. It really is very simple about what the F.G. can and can't do. Yes, you are right that States prerogatives of power HAVE been unconstitutionally eclipsed by the F.G. and look where it has got us. PRINCIPLES never change. It worked then, it WILL work again if we give it a chance. Oh, and Wodin one more thing, don't worry about the income tax. With the F.G. at its Constitutionally mandated size the taxes already being collected, minus the income tax, would be more than adequate to meet the F.G. needs. Ron Paul wants to give us more freedom and get the F.G. out of our private lives, where they never should of been in the first place.
