torrentfreak.com — The MPAA is very active in recruiting America’s youth for their war on piracy. The deadline for the their anti-piracy propaganda contest just passed. SIFE Students from all over America spent weeks filming mind numbing anti-piracy PSAs, resulting in some really bad, but hilarious clips.

I my view the MPAA crusade will have one important winner: opensource. You can use software legally - more users means more development which means better software. The end result is far better opensource software. The results are already showing: there are quite a few opensource programs that are at the level of or better than closed source equivalents and the number is increasing by the day.(just take a tour through all the 'must have' and 'top 10' lists)The anti piracy movement has a very great role in this. So if your are a supporter of open software praise the anti piracy movement.

somebody should tell the RIAA and MPAA to "respect art." What the hell was that s**t?

Ironic, maybe, that someone creating an anti-piracy ad for a contest sponsored by the MPAA is infringing the copyright for the music to one of the Matrix movies?

Quite crazy, and propogandistic. Downloading music is ONLY illegal if you don't have permission to do so, otherwise sites where currently legally free music can be found, creative commons works, and even public domain works would not exist/be distributed. Secondly, a music file can't contain pornographic images, unles the file is really just an extention change in which the file would end up deleted most likely anyways.Tell the poster maker to shove his lies away from us.
