arstechnica.com— The MPAA wants the FCC’s permission to prevent viewers from recording some movies. The end result would be DVRs that are unable to record some broadcasts.

isnt it obvious?the MPAA/RIAA, the government and scientology. they are all in it together. a diabolical scheme to rule the world and piss off as many people as they can."the triumvirate of terror"
Put it down to my blinding rage then. Also, I only count one misspelling ("occaisionally"). I speak British English, so don't try and tell me "realisation" is spelt wrong too (:
MPAA will, eventually, realize that they really are in a loosing battle - and after all the conventional methods of data distribution finally follow the same evolutionary path all useless things do - the only thing left to sell will be the internet itself.
Yeah good point about being at work or sleeping. Me along with how many hours have to work ridiculous overtime nowadays just to pay for gas, medical, and all the other goddamn rackets in this country. Just maybe just maybe we deserve to be able to watch some of the shows we paid for. Not your fault if you gotta work while it's on.And screw tivo. Why pay monthly fees for time-shifting. Give me a break.
I would, but the FCC is part of the problem. REMEMBER, it was the FCC who mandated the broadcast flag to strip all of your fair use rights with broadcast television. It was the court that struck it down. The FCC is evil and in bed with the Mafiaa.

This doesn't affect me because I have the express written consent of Major League Baseball.
