missourinet.com — A controversial report from the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) is getting a lot of attention at the State Capitol and has prompted Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder (R-MO) to ask that Missouri Public Safety Director John Britt be placed on administrative leave. MIAC works with the Department of Homeland Security.

Possibly, but the big issue is that these things have a tendency to "profile" people who are not members of any radical groups. The "big fear" is that accusations of "militia members" could be used as a tool to chill political speech or attack people who are not terrorists.It doesn't matter what the government actually does or doesn't do, what matters is the perception.
