Quote from Kotaku:"Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima appears on stage at a Sony E3 press conference, saying that Metal Gear Solid 4 is a PS3 exclusive. The Kojima Productions team says that MGS4 is designed specifically for the PS3. A recent hands-on game play demo for MGS4 shows that the title is taking full use of the SIXAXIS controls. Sony Computer Entertainment of America president tells us directly that MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive. Yet, OXM (Official Xbox Magazine) has a "bankable" source telling them that Metal Gear Solid 4 is in fact coming to the Xbox 360 a "few months" after it's released on the PS3. Do I think it will come to the Xbox 360? Don't care either way! The annoying thing is that the game's been plagued these sorts of rumors for eons now. When people talk about Metal Gear Solid 4, they don't talk about the actual game usually, but about it being an exclusive. That's it. What will they ever talk about if and when it appears on the Xbox 360? God forbid the actual game."Agreed!
those idiots just don't realize how technology and game development work. you don't create games that meet a certain specification and then design hardware to support the game. the developers look at what's available to them and try to capitalize on the technology they have to work with and make the game suit the hardware. if they only have a DVD to work with, of course they're going to fit the content onto a DVD--no more, no less. same was true when CD-ROMs were the popular optical format, and before that with floppies.with ever increasing storage capacities on all fronts, and greater hardware support for advanced graphics and HD video, it wouldn't make sense for developers not to capitalize on this. with such a huge jump in storage capacity and processing power, we should expect to see an equal improvement in gaming experience.it's just how things work. without developers pushing the envelope in gaming, we'd never have advanced beyond pong or 8-bit graphics.
@ CReyes4182It didnt sell well on Xbox because PS2 was massively more popular and cheaper than Xbox at the time. This time around the roles are reversed.-Ash-
How is it possible that you have posted so many times in this thread yet are absolutely misinformed on all things MGS? I know you've played the games and all but we beg you, never type on this subject again.
First off, your outright wrong. Publishers almost always hold the rights to games they publish. Second, ill let you figure this one out on your own, itll be like alittle game: When the movie studios wants to buy the rights to make a metal gear movie, who did they buy them from?Ill let you look that one up on your own, it should only take you about a minute to google.-Ash-
i got my ps3 for 450 its called a f**king price drop witch made ps3 out sell x-box last month and made your baby system price drop but that didn't help because people would rather play good games that have a paper weight

Um, it's nigh unanimous, Sony ruled E3 with an iron fist.
