I just saw the during the Eurosport roundup. Everyone else was wiping out. They were trying stupidly difficult tricks and blowing them. Its not like half pipe where you get another run! So this guy picked tricks he felt he pull off, did them perfectly, and was rewarded. Great job on his part, bad judgement from most of the rest of the field.
But, technically, the rest of his jumps weren't as good. Lysacek's jumps were of superior quality as were his landings. Plushenko's were off kilter and not very crisp.I don't understand how the scoring works, but it seems to me that the best person won tonight.
This is kind of a bulls**t article "I thought Daisuke Takahashi was awesome. He tried the quad and he had the guts to go for it, and he should’ve been ahead of Lysacek in that aspect." In other words, just say you're going to do a quad, fall on your ass and you are better than someone who was clever enough to play to his strengths. Please!
A true Olympian Champion shows great sportsman ship. Plushenko shows none through c**kyness in interviews, therefore he does not deserve gold...this year at least. Evan's performance was awesome!!!
You can't drop a quad axle, do nothing else the rest of your routine including no jumps the final minute, and expect to be handed the gold medal. You have to make it interesting.Plushenko does a quad axle. So what? The judges already know he can do it. What else can he do?
