thinkprogress.org — Last Friday, as her husband was giving a speech in Dallas, Lynne Cheney ?made a visit to the Dallas Country Club for a signing event to promote her new memoir." The club, which was founded in 1896, is a ?haven for whites? and bills itself as a ?traditional...social club.? It also didn?t have any black members until at least June 2007.

That is almost hypocritical with her being an oppressed minority.....a lesbian.

I don't see the point - is she not a free individual to do as she pleases?

Don't know why she would go to somewhere the is "Racially Exclusive" ? I accidentally stumbled into a "Racially Exclusive" area of in the Bay area once. Made me really, really nervous.

Have you seen people calling for special schools for black boys? It's evil if a white person does it but fine if a black person does it. Bottom line, a private group has the right to set any restrictions on membership it wants to. Don't like it? Grow up and start your own group. The proof you will be too lazy to find on your own:http://education.guardian.co.uk/schools/story/0,,1 ...http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C0 ...
